It is submitted that Show cause notice for refusal of consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 and the Air Act, 1981 was issued to the godown/ warehouse vide letter no. 12698 & 12716 dated 14/03/2024 within an opportunity to reply to the show cause notice within 10 days.
As per the report of the Regional Office, the godown/ warehouse has submitted its reply on 18.03.2024 to the show cause notice issued to it. However, the reply of the godown/ warehouse is not satisfactory.
As such, in view of the recommendations of EE RO Patiala, Consents to operate applied by the godown/ warehouse may be refused due to reasons mentioned in the show cause notice issued to the project proponent by the Board. Also, Regional Office may be asked to revisit the premises of the project and send the report/recommendations for initiating process for closure of the unit.
