1. It intimated that the committee headed by Deputy Commissioner, Ludhiana with Commissioner MC, Ludhiana, SEE-PPCB and GM DIC being the other members has been constituted to examine this issue and consider the implications of adopting ZLD. The final decision has been taken in the order no. 111 dated 12/3/24 issued by the Board however its copy is not available. But in the e-note of the industry the Zonal office its has been intimated that the timeline to disconnect discharge of industrial effluent into M.C. sewer and for making alternative arrangements for disposal of treated waste water has been extended upto 30.06.2024. The complete order may still be perused.
2. But the industry has not submitted progress report, PERT Chart regarding the installation and commissioning of ZLD plant. H. The industry has also not submitted bank guarantee of Rs. 50 Lac as an assurance that the upgraded ETP based on ZLD technology will be installed and commissioned by 31.03.2024. I. The industry has also not submitted a B.G. of Rs. 10.0 Lacs.
3. Keeping In view of above, if approved, it is recommended that show cause notice for refusal of consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be issued to the industry.
