It is submitted that the subject cited industry was granted CTE/NOC under the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTE/Fresh/FGS/2023/20995710 dated 23/05/2023, which was valid upto 07/03/2024 for setting up colony of capacity of Industrial Plots @ 19 Number, Commercial Plots @ 3 number, SCO @ 21 Number and Bay Shops @ 19 Number for total area 94,494.7 Sqm. (23.35 acres) and built-up area 71,368.35 Sqm subject to the suitable terms & conditions mentioned therein.
Now, the industry has applied for obtaining Extension in the validity of Consent to Establish (NOC) granted under the Water Act, 1974 and the Air Act, 1981 along-with requisite documents and fee.
The industry has also deposited NOC extension fee of Rs. 18,000/- and Rs. 500/- towards the application form fee vide UTR no. 902469257 dated 07/03/2024 against the total project cost of Rs. 10.72 cr, which is adequate for one year as per the Board’s Office Order dated 29/10/2018.
The industry has informed vide its letter dated 07/03/2024 that no development/ construction work has been started at site and has further requested to extend the validity period of NOC for another one year.
To verify the contents of the application, the site was visited by the undersigned on 27/03/2024 and during visit, it was observed that the project proponent has not yet started any construction activity at site for the proposed project, for which the industry has obtained CTE/NOC.
In view of above, if approved, it is recommended that the validity of Consent to Establish (NOC) granted under the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be extended for 01 year subject to the same conditions mentioned in the NOC granted to the unit.
