The industry is a large scale red category, textile unit. The industry was earlier granted consent to operate under Water (Prevention & control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOW/Renewal/LDH1/2019/9584957 dated 04.04.2019 valid upto 31.03.2024 & CTOA/Renewal/LDH1/2019/9584923 dated 04.04.2019 valid upto 31.03.2024 for manufacturing of Synthetic Yarn @ 12000 Kgs/day by using Synthetic fibre (Acrylic soft Waste/ Acrylic Hard Waste/Polyester/Nylon) @ 15000 Kg/day.
The industry has now applied for 'Consent to Operate' under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 for manufacturing of synthetic Fiber @ 12000 Kg/day using Synthetic fibre (Acrylic soft Waste/ Acrylic Hard Waste/Polyester/Nylon) @ 15000 Kg/day.
The industry has filled online application form, uploaded latest CA certificate, compliance of earlier granted consents. The industry has deposited Rs. 318000/- vide no. 448173452 dated 23.03.2024 under Air Act, 1981, Rs. 318000/- vide no. 784306074 dated 23.03.2024 under Water Act, 1974, Rs. 42000/- vide no. 784306074 dated 23.03.2024 as NOC regularization fee. As per the CA certificate applicable fee is Rs. 63600/- per annum, the industry has deposited for 5 years i.e. upto 31.03.2029
The industry was visited by the officer of the Board on 28.03.2024 and it was observed as under:-
1. The industry was in operation during visit & engaged in the operation of crimping and spinning.
2. The industry has provided ETP consist of Collection/equalization tank-> Reaction tank-> Tube settler-> Pre-storage tank-> Sand filter-> Carbon filter-> Reuse collection tank-Reuse in boiler feed ->Reuse crimping section. Whole of the effluent after treatment is to be reused in process itself & no part of it is to be disposed anywhere.
3. The domestic effluent after septic tank, is discharged onto land for plantation maintained along the boundary wall outside the industrial premises.
4. The industry has installed a wood fired boiler of capacity 2 TPH with cyclone as APCD. The industry has also installed 1 wood fired (Stand by) boiler of capacity 1 TPH with cyclone as APCD.
5. The industry has installed a DG set of capacity 380 KVA with canopy and adequate stack height.
6. The industry is complying with the various provisions of Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981.
In view of above, it is recommended that 'Consent to Operate' under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 may be extended to the industry upto 31.03.2024 with suitable conditions as per policy of the Board. (Competency Worthy Chairman of the Board).
