RO has reported that earlier, the hotel was granted consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/ASR/2022/18367345 dated 06/05/2022 dated 31/03/2024 and consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Renewal/ASR/2023/21628960 dated 03/05/2023 up to dated 31/03/2027. Now, the hotel has applied for renewal of consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 along with Compliance of the previous granted consent in annotated form, latest CA Certificate. Detail of the case are as under:- 1. The hotel has submitted CA certificate dated 30.03.2023 which it is gross value of fixed of fixed assets of Rs. 146.96 cores. The hotel has already deposited Rs. 6,84,000/- vide UTR/Ref. No. N085221889560779 dated 26/03/2022 as consent fee under Air Act, 1981, Rs. 3,600/- vide UTR/Ref. No. N085221889560780 dated 26/03/2022 as NOC Regularization Fee, Rs. 500/- vide UTR/Ref. No. N085221889560790 dated 26/03/2022 as an Application Form Fee, Rs. 14,400/- vide UTR/Ref. No. N098232409497416 dated 08/04/2023, which it is adequate upto 31.03.2027 under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. The hotel was visited by officer of this office on 01/04/2024 and observed as under: - 1. The hotel was in operation. 2. The hotel has installed 03 no. diesel fired baby boilers of capacity 0.6 TPH each which are connected with common stack. 3. The industry has installed 2 no. D.G. Set of capacity 1000 KVA each and 01 no. D.G. Set of capacity 500 KVA which were placed in a common room having acoustic arrangement It is further intimated that the hotel is complying with the conditions of consent granted earlier Air Act, 1981. The hotel falls in Red category in large-scale sector and competency to decide the case lies with Worthy Chairman of the Board.
RO has recommended that the renewal of consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the hotel up to 31/03/2027 with suitable terms & conditions.
Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that the renewal of consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the hotel up to 31/03/2027 with suitable terms & conditions along with special conditions as under:-
(i) Project proponent (PP) may also develop the vermicomposting/composting to manage the biodegradable solid waste. PP shall not throw, burn or bury any solid wastes in open, outside premises or in drain / water bodies.
(ii) PP shall perform / promote its Corporate Environment Responsibility (CER) activities as well as use of alternatives of single use plastics (SUP) and awareness to discourage use of plastic (See attached banner/circular).
(iii) PP shall ensure that there are no usages of single use plastic- thermocol disposable items such as water bottles / water pouches/water cups, plates, forks, spoons, straw etc. and single use decorating material made of plastic-thermocol or any other non-biodegradable material in the premises.
(iv) The project proponent shall properly handle and manage the solid wastages as per the provisions of the Municipal Solid Waste Rules 2016 and ensure that the solid waste is segregated & disposed of in an environmentally sound manner.
(v) PP shall carry out awareness and activities for the themes / action points identified under Mission LiFE (Lifestyle for the Environment) by Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change given at the website (http://missionlife-moefcc.nic.in).
