Sir, it is intimated that a complaint has been received in this office on 06/02/2024 from the residents of Village Dhirpur. The grievance pertains to the proposed establishment of the aforementioned poultry farm in close proximity to their homes. They fear this proximity may result in unpleasant odors affecting their living environment.
To verify the contents of the complaints and to process the application, the site was visited by the undersigned on 27.03.2024 and it was observed that there is cluster of 6 no. houses within 100 meter of the proposed site. Further, the complainants were also contacted and who requested that the owner of the poultry farm consider relocating the project to mitigate their concerns. Despite these objections, the proposed site is meeting with the siting criteria for the establishment of a new poultry farm.
Given the circumstances, if approved, it is recommended that
1. A formal notice may be issued to both the poultry farm owner and the complainants alongwith an opportunity of personal hearing before your good self on 12.04.2024 to resolve the matter.
2. The application for obtaining Consent to Establish (NOC) under the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 applied by the unit may be returned at this stage. |
