1. It is intimated that the industry is a small scale green category cold store unit.
2. Now the cold store has applied for fresh consent to operate under Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS of the Board.
3. The cold store has deposited Rs. 43200/- vide UTR no N043242880197127 dated 12.02.2024 under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974, Rs. 43200/- vide UTR no N043242880197621 dated 12.02.2024 under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through IMPS and Rs. 14400/- vide UTR no N043242880194875 dated 12.02.2024 as NOC fee, adequate upto 31.12.2024.
4. The cold store has submitted CLU from STP, Jalandhar vide memo no. 2099/STP(J)/CLU(K) dated 10.12.2020 for area of 1.029 acres.
5. The cold store has submitted copy of registered deed of land of the site in which mentioned that the land of the site is outside from the lal lakir of the village.
6. To verify the facts, the cold store was visited by EE alongwith AEE of this office on 01.04.2024 & observed that:-
1. The cold store is in operation during the visit.
2. The domestic effluent and sullage water from toilets is sent to septic tank.
3. Plantation has been provided along boundary wall.
4. No residential houses or village lal lakir is within the 100 meter radius of the cold store.
Recommendations:-
Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that consent to operate under Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the cold store upto 31.12.2024 with suitable condition and special condition that:-
1. The cold store shall submit approved building plan endorsed by approved architect.
