The report of the Regional Office has been examined and observed that the visiting officer has collected the fresh trade effluent samples during the visit. However, no comment has been made on the results as the industry is to achieve standard of BOD to the tune of 30 mg/ltr in compliance to the decisions of the hearing. Further, Regional Office has not commented regarding storage / disposal arrangements provided by the industry for disposal of boiler ash. Also, Regional Office to clarify whether the industry has got its funds reserved for contribution in the village pond under CSR / CER.
As such, Environmental Engineer, Regional Office, Patiala may be asked to clarify the above said observations so that further action may be taken in the matter.
