The directions u/s 33-A of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and 31-A of Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 were issued to the PSPCL authorities vide Board's letter no. 4038 dated 25.07.2023 for the disconnection of the electric connection of the unit. Now, the industry has applied for fresh consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for production of dyeing of polyester fabric @ 750 Kgs/day and dyeing of yarn @ 400 kgs/day with disposal of trade effluent @ 50.0 KLD onto land for plantation after treatment through ETP and domestic effluent @ 0.5 KLD onto land for Plantation after septic tank………………..
The industry has submitted requisite documents and adequate consent fee adequate upto 31.03.2025 as verified by the Regional Office.
The industry had submitted copy of CLU from DTP, Ludhiana vide no. 347/DTP/L/M2A dated 09.02.2024 mentioning that the site of the industry falls in Industrial Land Use Zone as per Master Plan Ludhiana (2007-2031) as verified by the Regional Office.
Regional Office reported that the industry has provided plantation at area of about 01 acre to discharge treated effluent @ 50 KLD, which is adequate to manage the quantum of discharge.
If approved, Regional Office be requested to clarify the following:
1. Whether the 1-acre area of plantation is within the premises of the industry or it is outside the premises of the industry. Whether the land of the industry as well as the plantation area is on lease or under the name of industry.
2. Whether the industry is complying with all the conditions of Consent to Establish (NOC) as stipulated by the Board as the industry has applied for obtaining consent to operate without obtaining consent to establish, please.
