As already detailed in my note dated 18.3.24, It is informed that that the CPCB has on the basis of no of birds has just classified the poultry farms for its easy bifurcation according to that the poultry farms are classified as under: 1. Small (5,000-25,000 bird) 2. Medium (above 25,000-1,00,000 birds). 3. Large (above 1,00,000 birds) .However as per the categorisation of the industry into large/ medium/ small scale is being carried out by the Board on the basis of total value of the plant & machinery of the industry. The value of the plant & machinery of the poultry farm is 174.45 lakhs which is less than 5 cr, hence, it falls under small scale and competency to decide the case lies with Environmental Engineer, RO. Further, in this case the SCN was issued by the Zonal Office, therefore, the CTO can be decided obtaining approval from the SEE, Zonal Office-II, Patiala, please. |
