Sub: Proceedings of the personal hearing before Senior Environmental Engineer, Zonal Office-2, Ludhiana on 02.04.2024 for refusal of consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 - M/s A-one Electric Work, St. No. 18, Jiwan Nagar, Phase-8, Focal Point, Ludhiana.

Environmental Engineer, Zonal Office-2, Ludhiana brought out that the industry is small scale red category unit and is engaged in surface metal treatment of auto parts.
The case was examined by the Competent Authority and it was observed that:
1. The industry has not submitted area classification certificate from the concerned department.
The industry is violating the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.
Show cause notice for refusal of consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 was issued to the industry with an opportunity of personal hearing before the Senior Environmental Engineer, Zonal Office-2, Ludhiana on 02.04.2024.
Sh. Anurodh Kumar, Proprietor of the industry attended the hearing and submitted a written reply which was taken on record. He stated that they have submitted all the document to the concerned department for DTP certificate regarding its area classification and requested to allow some time for submit the certificate.
After hearing, the proprietor of the industry and officers of the Board, the Senior Environmental Engineer of the Board decided as under:-
1. The industry shall submit the certificate regarding area classification from the concerned department, within 15 days.
2. Environmental Engineer, Regional Office-4 shall comment upon the suitability of the site of industry and submit subsequent recommendations for deciding Consent of the industry.
