• The project proponent has applied for obtaining fresh Consent to Establish (NOC) under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS of the Board for the establishment of a new unit at Village Sarai Khas, Tehsil Kartarpur, District Jalandhar with the proposal to manufacturing of Crowbars @ 100 Numbers/Day and Hammers @ 100 Numbers/Day by using Steel Rounds @ 100 Kgs/day as raw material and detail of the same is as under: -
1. The project proponent has deposited Rs. 10800/- vide UTR no. 973822325 dated 01.04.2024 as NOC fee against the proposed fixed assets of Rs. 200.0 lacs as per project report.
2. The project proponent has submitted classification of area certificate issued by DTP, Jalandhar vide letter No. 1712/SSV-I dated 10.10.2023 in which mentioned that the site of the industry falls in General Industrial Zone as per Master Plan 2009-2031.
3. The project proponent has submitted/uploaded the approved site plan cum location plan, partnership deed, project report, manufacturing process with the application.
4. The project proponent has proposed to install one shot blasting machine of capacity 300 kg/heat with bag filter house as APCD.
5. The project proponent has proposed to install one Bench Grinding Machine, one Abrasive Belt Machine, one Powder Coating and one pad printing machine at site.
6. There is no source of trade effluent generated and domestic effluent is proposed to discharged onto land for plantation after septic tank
• The proposed site was visited by AEE of this office on 03.04.2024 and it was observed that the industry is going to establish its unit at Village Sarai Khas, Tehsil Kartarpur, District Jalandhar. At site, construction work of the proposed project is 90-95% completed. There is no village phirni, educational institute, Religious place from the from proposed site within 100 meter. There is 03 residential houses near the proposed site. The site is suitable to set up proposed unit.
The industry is a small scale orange category and the competency of case lies with Senior Environmental Engineer, Zonal office, Jalandhar.
Recommendations: Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that consent to establish (NOC) under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry for one year with suitable conditions and with special conditions that :
1. The project proponent shall obtain necessary permission/ statutory clearance from the concerned Departments, if required, if any, in future its own level.
