It is intimated that earlier the consent to operate under Air (Prevention & control of Pollution) Act, 1981 was granted online reference no. CTOA/Renewal/GRP/2019/11264205 dated 26/09/2019, which is valid upto 30/09/2024 for the production of cupola furnace under Orange Category.
Now, the industry has applied for obtaining Fresh Consent to Operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for the production of cupola furnace under Orange Category. The project proponent has submitted various documents, which are enclosed along with the application, which may kindly be pursued.
The industry has submitted an undertaking along with application and intimated that the industry namely M/s S.V. Foundry & Engineering Works, G.T. Road, Batala, District-Gurdaspur has been taken over by its new owner Sh. Pankaj Aggarwal S/o Sh. Surinder Pal Aggarwal and now they have applied for obtaining consents to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 and new name & style of M/s S.V. Foundry & Engineering Works, G.T. Road, Batala, District-Gurdaspur. The industry has submitted the copy of its new Ownership Deed.
The PSCST, Chandigarh has certified vide letter no. PSCST/CC/309 dated 18/12/2012 that the industry has installed cupola furnace and air pollution control device having melting capacity less than 3T/hr as per the technology evolved by PSTST, Chandigarh.
The industry has deposited Rs. 37,800/- vide UTR No. 968806545 dated 03/04/2024 & Rs. 9500/- vide UTR No. 403273981 dated 03/04/2024 as consent to operate fee under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 including Rs. 2900/- as NOC regularization fee and Rs. 500/- as Form Downloading fee against total gross value of fixed assets worth Rs. 12,10,373/-as on 17/02/2024 and same are adequate upto 30/09/2028 under both Acts.
As per policy of the Board and in the light of Head Office Order No. 59 dated 02/02/2016, the consent cases of Orange Category units are to be processed without visiting them.
The project falls in Orange category in small scale sector, hence competency to decide the case lies with the Environmental Engineer of the Board in the light of Head Office, Patiala letter no. 19650-761 dated 30/04/2013.
In view of above, it is recommended that the fresh consent to operate under Water (Prevention & control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted upto 30/09/2028 with suitable conditions. |
