In the future, if at any stage the STP Mullanpur regularly fails to achieve the desired standards prescribed by the Board, then this CTO under the Water Act,1974 shall be deemed cancelled and the Board shall not be responsible for any financial liability arising due to cancellation of this CTO. In such case, the project proponent shall apply for fresh CTO under the Water Act,1974 along with their adequate capacity STP and concrete proof for alternate modes of disposal of treated effluent like availability of adequate land for utilizing treated effluents for plantation or to adopt other environmentally sound effluent disposal arrangements.
The project proponent shall not discharge any domestic effluent (treated or untreated) into choe / drain /river or in any inland surface water at any time or any other unauthorized place by any unauthorized means.
In case of any violation action u/s 33-A of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 will be initiated for closure of the project proponent without further notice. |
