As per the policy for Bio-Mass Utilization for Power Generation to Co-firing in coal based power plants, it has been mandated to use 5% blend of bio-mass pellets primarily of agro residue (terrified/non-terrified) alongwith coal....................
The TPP is utilizing Non-torrefied pellets and is achieving 2% utilization target against 5 %.............
Moreover, apellet project has also been installed by NTPC Vidut Vypar Nigam Ltd. (NVVN), New Delhi of capacity 32 TPD for production of Non-torrefied within the premises of the TPP, however the unit has not been commissioned yet....................
