It is submitted that following decisions were taken in personal hearing taken by Worthy Chief Environmental Engineer, Ludhiana on 28.03.2024 as under:-
1. The industry shall not operate the induction furnace of 8 TPH capacity without obtaining prior Environment Clearance as required under EIA Notification, 2006.
2. The industry shall either apply for Environment Clearance as required under EIA Notification, 2006 or shall obtain exemption letter from SEIAA, within one month.
3. The matter may be referred to Head Office to obtain legal opinion that whether consent to operate at the reduced capacity can be granted in this case, due to non-obtaining of Environment Clearance as required under EIA Notification, 2006.
In light of decision No. (3) above case is required to be sent to Head Office, Patiala to obtain legal opinion.
If approved, file be sent to Senior Law Officer, Head Office, Patiala to seek the legal opinion in this regard. Submitted, please. |
