The industry was issued show cause notice for refusal of consent under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 with an opportunity of personal hearing before the Senior Environmental Engineer, ZO, Jalandhar on 08.04.2024. But due to holiday the hearing cannot be done.
The industry has submitted a declaration on 04.04.2024 in this office which is mentioned that they had installed a washing machine with inbuilt tanks for recycling and filtration of water. Further, the waste water is passed through the tank in which heater installed evaporate the waste water (copy attached).
The industry was again visited by AEE of this office on 09.04.2024 and observed that the industry was not in operation till date. The industry has installed glass washing machine with inbuilt tank and with recycling and filtration system of water and the waste water is evaporate through three heaters. The domestic effluent is discharged onto land for plantation after septic tank.
In view of above, it is recommended that consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 may be granted upto 30.09.2028 with usual condition as per policy of the Board.
