It is submitted that earlier the marriage palace was granted Consent to Establish (NOC) vide no. CTE/Fresh/BTI/2023/21042271 dated 05.04.2023 up to 04.04.2024 for establishment of the Hotel-cum-banquet hall having 2 no. Banquet Halls of capacity @ 500 persons/ function & 200 persons/ function alongwith rooms @ 40 Nos, 1 no. Bar and 1 no. Restaurant.
Now the PP has applied for obtaining Consent to Operate for operation of the Hotel-cum-banquet hall having 2 no. Banquet Halls of capacity @ 500 persons/ function & 200 persons/ function alongwith rooms @ 40 Nos, 1 no. Bar and 1 no. Restaurant.
The PP has submitted fees @ Rs. 162000/- vide no. 75435791 dated 4.4.2024 under Water Act, 1974 & Rs. 151200/- vide no. 571099643 dated 4.4.2024 under Air Act, 1981 along with NOC regularization fees and penalty fees against the project cost of Rs. 11.6796 Cr The fees is valid upto 30.09.2029.
The hotel cum marriage palace was visited on 02.04.2024 by the officer of this board and it was observed as under:
1. No Marriage function was taking place during the visit.
2. The marriage palace has provided a hood (Turbo ventilator) and stack arrangement with the exhaust system in the kitchen section.
3. The PP has installed STP @60 KLD based on MBBR technology to treat the effluent generated from the kitchen and toilet section. In the kitchen section additional O & G Traps have been provided for primary treatment before treatment into STP.
4. During visit the STP was found byepassed and the untreated effluent overflow from the collection tank was directly being discharged into adjoining land of unknown person onto land for stagnation using hose pipe.
5. The palace has not provided any compost pits for in house management of the solid waste and the solid waste generated is lifted to un-authorized vendors.
6. The palace has provided three D.G. sets of capacity @250 kV, @250 kVA & @160kVA with canopy and stack of adequate height.
7. An extra D.G. set of un known capacity was found within the premises without any acoustic enclosure.
From the above, it is clear that the marriage palace is violating the provisions of the Water Act, 1974, and the Air Act, 1981.
If approved the Project may be issued SCN for violation of the provisions of the Water Act, 1974 Air Act, 1981.
