• The palace was granted consents under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 in the name & style of M/s Punjab Palace, which was valid upto 30.09.2023.
• Thereafter, application applied for obtaining fresh consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 in the name & style of M/s Chiman's Punjab Palace Hotel & Resorts Pvt. Ltd. alongwith the valid lease deed for a period upto 31.03.2024.
• The visiting officer has reported that the marriage palace was visited on 04.10.2023 and it was observed that suction hood has been provided in the kitchen area for exhaust of emissions, grit chamber followed by oil & grease trap provided for the effluent generated from the kitchen section and the domestic effluent is discharged into MC sewer. Compost pits provided for the management of bio-degradable solid waste. DG Sets provided with canopy & adequate stack height. The marriage palace is complying with the provisions of the Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 as well as with the guidelines issued by the Board vide order dated 02.02.2021.
• Subsequently, CTOs under the Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 was granted to the marriage palace with validity upto 31.03.2024, subject to the conditions mentioned therein.
• Now application applied for obtaining extension in the validity of the CTOs and the visiting officer vide its note dated 09.04.2024 has reported that the new lease deed is valid for a period upto 31.07.2034 and the Regional Office has recommended extension in the validity of CTOs upto 30.09.2028.
• In view of above, if approved, CTO under the Air Act, 1981 be further extended upto 30.09.2028, subject to the following special conditions that:-
1. The marriage palace will ensure compliance w.r.t. the guidelines issued for control of pollution and enforcement of environmental norms at Individual Establishments and the Area/Cluster of Restaurants/ Hotels/Motels/ Banquets issued vide Board’s office order no SEE(HQ-2)2021/64 dt. 02.02.2021.
2. The marriage palace shall not throw, burn or burry any solid wastes in open, outside premises or in drain / water bodies.
3. The marriage palace shall ensure that there are no usages of single use plastic-thermocol disposable items such as water bottles / water pouches/water cups, plates, forks, spoons, straw etc. and single use decorating material made of plastic-thermocal or any other non-biodegradable material in the premises.
4. The marriage palace shall ensure the compliance of policy guidelines, building norms (covered area, set back etc.), width of approach road, parking etc. notified by the State Govt. from time to time for marriage palaces.
