It is intimated that the HCF was granted Authorization under Bio Medical Waste (Management & Handling)Rules, 2016 online through OCMMS which is valid upto 31.03.2027with conditions mentioned therein. Now the hospital has applied for renewal of Authorization under Bio Medical Waste (Management & Handling) Rules, 2016 online through OCMMS for the change of occupier name. The hospital has uploaded complete application form, copy of agreement made with lifting facility, bed capacity certificate, complianceofearliergrantedAuthorization,theHCFhassubmitted documentsregardingchangeof occupier name.
TheHCEwasvisitedbyOfficerofthisofficeon07.08.2023&observedthat:-
1. TheHCEhas130bedcapacity..
2. The HCE has general ward, OT, Nursing Station, Emergency and Lab. and HCE hasprovided different color coded buckets at different wards.
3. Bio-medical waste generating point ofHCE was visited and found thatHCE hasprovided colorcoded buckets to collect segregated bio medical waste as per Bio Medical Waste (Management & Handling) Rules, 2016.
4. Segregation of bio medical waste was found proper as per Bio Medical Waste (Management & Handling) Rules, 2016.
5. TheHCEhasprovidedneedledestroyer&sodiumhypo-chloritesolutionatdifferentwards.
6. TheHCEhasmaintainedtherecordforliftingthebiomedicalwaste.
7. TheHCEhasprovidedawarenesschartsdepictingBioMedicalWaste,segregatingplan.
8. TheHCEhasprovidedcommonstorageroomforthebiomedicalwaste.
9. The HCE has installed ETP cum STP for the treatment of liquid waste and the treated effluent is discharged intocollection tank along with domestic effluent. The treated effluent is partially utilized for flushing and for irrigation of plants around the periphery.
Keeping in view the above, if approved authorization under Bio-Medical Waste ofabove said HCE may be granted upto 31.03.2027 with suitable terms and conditions and with special conditions that the HCF shall renew its agreement with CBWTF before its expiry. The HCF shall comply with all the guidelines issued by CPCB/PPCB.
