File Note: The industry has submitted reply to the SCN that the directions vide letter no. 1073 dated 12.02.2024 were issued for temporary closure of the industry till the leakage in PDA pipeline near outlet of 225 MLD STP is plugged and the PDA has taken the shutdown of all industries of Tajpur Road and repaired its line and now there is no leakage at that point. It is submitted here that the PDA had repaired its pipeline and major leakage near 225 MLD STP outlet was stopped and no further leakage from that point observed again. No further action is pending against the industry. Keeping the above in view, it is recommended that Varied 'Consent to Operate' under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be granted for period upto 31.12.2024 for Dyeing of all type of fabrics (polyester /pc/cotton) @ 18 TPD and Dyeing of all type of yarn @ 3.0TPD with discharge of trade effluent @ 1210 KLD & domestic effluent @ 4 KLD into CETP 50 MLD conveyance system subject to the conditions that:- a) The industry will install EMF at inlet water supply also within 01 month. b) The industry shall make the necessary arrangements to achieve the effluent standards as per the inlet designed parameters of the CETP. c) The industry shall stop discharging its effluent in case due to any reason the CETP is not operational or dedicated conveyance system is overflowing. d) The industry shall maintain the record of flow meter installed at outlet leading to CETP. e) The industry shall not generate/discharge trade & domestic effluent more than 1214 KLD without obtaining prior permission of the Board.
