Sir, it is intimated that the industry is a zinc plating unit located in close proximity to the gas leak site. The industry was found violating during visit in Giaspura Gas Leak Case. The Board has issued directions for closure of the industry and Environmental Compensation of Rs. 1.50 Lacs was imposed on the industry.
RO reported that the industry has not deposited Environmental Compensation of Rs. 1.50 Lacs, till date.
If approved, consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be refused due to above said reason, please.
