it is intimated that a complaint was received in this office through email dated 15.02.2024 regarding violation of pollution norms, and unlawful termination by the subject cited industry. The complainant in its complaint has highlighted that the industry is draining its plant water outside on the road and has unlawfully terminated him due to raising the issue. To verify the facts of the complaint, the site of the industry was visited by the undersigned on 15.02.2024 and it was observed as under:- 1) The industry was in operation during the visit and engaged in manufacturing of HR coils/sheets/strips/black tube and pipes. 2) The industry generates only domestic effluent from its office section and working area. The sewage is collected in an underground tank and treated through STP. 3) The components of STP are as follows collection tank, aeration tank, settling tank, pre-filteration tank, sand filter, active carbon filter and final outlet. The treated effluent is discharged onto land for plantation with the help of pipelines. Sample of STP inlet and outlet were collected at the time of the visit and results were found within the Board's prescribed limits. 4) The industry has installed a water meter at its final outlet and as per the record maintained the average discharge of the last six months is found to be 17-18 KLD. 5) The points shown by the complaint in its whats app message were checked and it was observed that these points are used for draining storm water outside the plant during heavy rain season. 6) The industry is found to be collecting its rainwater through a closed-loop system from its industrial shed and using it for groundwater discharge. No illegal bye-pass or borwell was found at the time of the visit. 7.)The facts mentioned in the complaint were found inaccurate and facts w.r.t. unlawful termination do not fall under the preview of the Board. The report as above has been sent through enote vide no. 24975724 dated 22.02.2024.
