Earlier the industry was identified and found operational without any ETP plant for treatment of effluent.
Now, the industry has installed physio-chemical treatment based ETP plant to treat the effluent generated. During visit the ETP was in line and the effluent generated was being collected at the collection tank however there was very less effluent at the inlet as the industry has just started its operations for this season and there was no flow at outlet as such effluent samples were not collected during visit. The industry has made provision for discharge into sewerline. Further the effluent samples will be collected when the operation of the industry comes into full swing.
Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that Consent to operate Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be granted to the industry for a period upto 30.09.2025, with suitable conditions. competency:CEE |
