The industry was given personal hearing before the Chairman of the Board on 15.03.2024 w.r.t. show cause notice for refusal of consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 alongwith show cause notice for refusal of authorization under the Hazardous and other Waste Rules, 2016, wherein, alongwith other decisions, it was decided that from Bank Guarantee of Rs. 50 lacs submitted by industry, Rs. 5.0 lacs be encashed immediately and other amount of Rs. 5.0 lacs be encashed, if industry fails to complete its stabilization by 31.05.2024.
In compliance to the above, encashment of Rs. 5.0 lacs from Bank Guarantee no. 00420100000796 dated 23/10/2023 valid upto 20/10/2024 amounting to Rs. 50 lacs in Punjab Pollution Control Board account has been done.
Submitted for compliance of decision no. 7 to grant 'Consent to Operate' under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 upto 31.05.2024.
