Sir, earlier directions u/s 33-A of the Water Act, 1974 were issued for disconnection of electric connection.
Now, the industry has applied for fresh consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.
RO recommended that the electric connection may be restored temporarily for six months and consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry for a short term of six months with special conditions that:- I. The service station shall maintain regular record of operation of ETP and shall submit a copy of the same 5th of every month to Regional Office. II. The service station shall get water sample analyzed from Boards lab within 15 days after coming in operation.
The matter regarding restoration of electric connection is being processed in consent application under the Water Act, 1974.
In view of the abve, it is recommended that consent to operate under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry for a short term of six months as proposed by RO, please.
