It is intimated that the project proponent was given personal hearing before the Senior Environmental Engineer, Zonal Office-I, Ludhiana on 15.04.2024 w.r.t. show cause notice for refusal of 'Consent to Establish' (NOC) under the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981, wherein, it was decided that the Environmental Engineer, Regional Office shall verify submission made by industry and send fresh recommendations in the matter.
Sh. Ved Parkash, Owner submitted during hearing that they have proposed STP of capacity 100 KLD and given revised feasibility report. However, it has not proposed STP of capacity 100 KLD and not submitted revised feasibility report.
As per Punjab Pollution Control Board office order no. 315 dated 05.07.2018 regarding installation of sewage treatment plants for residential/commercial complexes/construction projects proposed to be established/being established, it was decided as under:
“If the residential colony/commercial complex/construction project is proposed to be established within the municipal limits of a City/Town of the State and it proposes to discharge its entire sewage into the municipal sewer, then the promoter of the residential colony shall install adequate and appropriate individual sewage treatment plant. The project proponent shall make arrangements to re-use the treated effluent for flushing purposes and/or for watering of green areas in the project premises. Only the surplus treated waste water shall be discharged into the MC sewer.”
You are therefore requested to submit revised proposal as submitted by you in the hearing so that subject cited application may be processed within timeline.
