The project proponent was granted consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Fresh/SAS/2019/11645550 dated 22.11.2019, valid till 30.06.2023 and under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Fresh/SAS/2019/11645119 dated 22.11.2019, valid till 30.06.2023 for Ready Mix Concrete @240Metric Tonnes/Day using Aggregate @110Metric Tonnes/Day, Sand @70Metric Tonnes/Day, Cement @24Metric Tonnes/Day, Fly Ash @10Metric Tonnes/Day, Admixture @0.3Kilo Liters/Day and Water @26Kilo Liters/Day with certain conditions.
Now, the project proponent has applied Consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for Ready Mix Concrete @240Metric Tonnes/Day along with requisite documents.
The project proponent has submitted CA certificate with the value of fixed assets of Rs. 1.95 crore as on 31.03.2023. The project proponent has deposited Rs. 32,000/- vide R no. 496951400 dated 17.07.2023 under Water Act, 1974 and Rs. 32,500/- vide R no. 147148419 dated 17.07.2023 under Air Act, 1981, which are adequate till 31.12.2027.
The project proponent has submitted compliance report of the previous consent to operate under the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 obtained by it.
The industry has submitted rent deed made on 01.03.2019 with M/s Arkon Infratech, for operating its unit at the said land, for a period of 15 years having validity upto 30/03/2034.
Accordingly, the industry was visited by AEE of this office on 19/04/2024 and it was observed as under:
1. The industry was in operation.
2. The source of fresh water is tubewell and is same is equipped with mechanical flow meter to adjudge the quantity of water abstracted by it. The representative of the industry was advised to maintain the record regarding ground water abstraction.
3. The industry has provided filtration-cum- recirculation tanks for the waste water generated from washing of the freight vehicles & purge of curing tanks of the testing laboratory. The said water is being re-circulated by the industry in the process.
4. There is only generation of domestic effluent for which, the industry has installed septic tank and the treated domestic effluent will be utilized onto land for plantation purposes.
5. The industry has provided in-built bag filter house arrangement with the silos for storage of raw materials, for the control of process emissions to be generated from cement and fly ash handling sections.
6. The industry has installed a DG set capacity 125 KVA, which is equipped with canopy and adequate stack height.
In view of above, it is recommended that the consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry upto 31/12/2027 subject to the suitable conditions.
