File Note: It is submitted that the hospital has applied for obtaining fresh consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS for 49 beds. The Hospital has submitted Rs. 12,500/- vide UTR No. N102242984969208 dated 11/04/2024 & Rs. 14,000/- vide UTR No. N102242984977028 dated 11/04/2024 under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 & Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 including Rs. 2000/- as NOC Regularization fee and Rs. 500/- Form Downloading Fee which is adequate upto 30/09/2029. The HCF has submitted requisite documents along with the application which can be pursued. The HCF has submitted bills issued from PWSSB regarding sewerage charges which shows that the HCF is discharging its effluent into sewer after treatment through ETP. The HCF comprises of 49 beds and has capacity to generate effluent @ 20 KLD, for which the HCF has installed ETP of capacity 20 KLD to treat its effluent and has submitted feasibility report of the same. The Hospital was visited by officer of this office on 23/04/2024 and observed as under:- 1. The hospital comprising of 49 beds engaged in the process of providing medical services. 2. The hospital has installed treatment plant for treatment of its effluent generated from hospital premises. 3. The HCF has provided color coded bins for collection/segregation of Bio Medical Waste, segregation of BMW found proper as per color codes. 4. The HCF has provided needle destroyers for shredding of needles. 5. The HCF is maintaining the record of Bio Medical Waste lifted to CBWTF. 6. The HCF has yet to start its operation therefore, there is no effluent being generated from the premises. It is further intimated that the industry has submitted an undertaking along with application and intimated that the industry namely M/s Nijjjar Hospital, has been taken over by its new owner Sh. Pawan Arora and now they have applied for obtaining consents to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 and new name & style of M/s E.M.C. Super Specialty Hospital (P) Ltd, Jalandhar Road, Batala. The industry has submitted copy of Lease deed of the firm. Now, Sh. Pawan Arora has lease own Sh. Satnam Singh Nijjar S/o Sh. Uttam Singh Nijjar. In view of above, it is recommended that Consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted for a period upto 30/09/2029 subject to suitable conditions along with special condition the HCF shall analysed its treated effluent samples within 02 months from the Board Lab.
