Sir, it is submitted that the subject cited the unit has proposed to establish small scale Cold Store unit under green category. The firm has applied for obtaining NOC /CTE under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for cold storage of Potatoes, Fruits & Vegetables etc. @ 5906 MT/Year with requisite documents i.e. site plan, brief project report, copy of registry, revenue department report regarding distance of site of cold storage outside of village Lal Lakir and away more than 500 meter from Lal Lakir etc.
The firm has deposited NOC fee of Rs. 10800/- vide online R. No. 000146630608 dated 08/04/2024 including form fee against the project cost of Rs. 606.05 lacs, which is adequate for one year.
The site of the unit was visited by the AEE of this office on 26/04/2024 and it was observed as under:
1. During visit, no activity has been observed at site.
2. The boundary brick wall has been constructed by concrete plates.
3. The unit has proposed to cold storage of Vegetable & Fruits @ 5906 MT/Year.
4. The industry has not used fresh water in industrial process as no trade effluent will be generated.
5. Domestic effluent will be discharged onto land for plantation after passing through septic tank.
6. Entire cooling water will be re-circulated.
The industry is located 03 Km away from the Municipal Committee and away more than 500 m from Phirni of village as per report of the Tehsildar, Amloh.
In view of above, it is recommended that the consents to establish (NOC) under the Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 may be granted for one year with suitable conditions.
a) The unit shall obtain NOC of the Board, if it changes any of its product/capacity of the plant.
b) The unit shall get its building plans approved from Competent Authority before commissioning of the unit.
c) The unit shall not engage in any water polluting process without prior permission/NOC of the Board.
