1. It is intimated that the industry is a small scale green category RMC unit.
2. Now the plant has applied for fresh consent to operate under Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS of the Board.
3. The plant has deposited Rs. 8700/- vide R. no 725845736 dated 30.04.2024 under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Rs. 8700/- vide R. no 922944562 dated 30.04.2024 under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through IMPS. The fee adequacy is valid upto 31.12.2026.
4. To verify the facts, the plant was visited by EE alongwith AEE of this office on 02.05.2024 & observed that:-
1. The RMC plant was in operation.
2. Bag filter are provided to avoid blowing of dust.
3. The plant is located in land owned by NHAI for which NHAI has given NOC to the PP vide no. NHAI/PIU-JAL/11016/Con/2023/JB/1514 dated 13.07.2023.
4. The plant is located within the road/flyovers which are under construction. The PP has submitted letter by SDM, Phagwara mentioning that there is no residential area within 500 meters of the plant.
5. D.G. set of capacity 125 KVA within canopy and adequate stack height.
Recommendations:-
Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that consent to operate under Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the project proponent upto 31.12.2026 with suitable conditions.
