Sir, the industry was issued show cause notice for refusal of consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 with hearing before the Senior Environmental Engineer of the Board on 13.03.2024, wherein it was decided that the Environmental Engineer, Regional Office shall send further recommendations in view of land use pattern of the area and date of commissioning after verifying the record of water consumption and effluent lifting to CETP operator.
In compliance to the above, RO reported that the industry falls in designated industrial area as per khasra number corelated from the gazzete notification. The wet polluting machinery the industry has commissioned in December 2023 as per application form and has submitted undertaking vide its letter stating that it has shifted the electroplating machinery from other unit of the industry located in Industrial estate at this site on 01.12.2023. The water consumption viz-a-viz effluent lifted during the fresh visit on 26.03.2024 found to be in order.
Further, RO has attached the compliance report of the NOC conditions are attached alongwith as per the format suggested. The earlier unit as industrial estate was visited by the officers of this ofifce on 26.04.2024 and it was observed that the wet polluting process has been completley closed and machinery removed from the earlier unit. The industry has now provided environmental data board at the main gate.
In view of above, it is recommended that consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 may be granted to the industry upto 30.06.2028, please.
