It is intimated that the industry is a small-scale green category restaurant. The restaurant has applied for obtaining consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 for consumer foods alongwith requisite documents and fee.
The restaurant has submitted latest CA Certificate, as per which the gross value of fixed assets is Rs. 394.60 lacs. The restaurant has deposited Rs. 54,000/- vide R. No. 501036575 dated 20.07.2023 under Water Act, 1974. The consent fee deposited by the project proponent is adequate upto 31.12.2027.
The restaurant has submitted registration certificate as proof of commissioning vide no. MOH01/202304/040 dated 15.04.2023.
The restaurant has submitted the lease agreement issued on dated 10.10.2022 between Sh. Ashutosh Ananda & Mrs. Maya Anand, Sh. Pritpal Singh & Sh. Amritpal Singh and M/s Connaught Plaza Restaurants Pvt. Ltd. for the period of 25 years.
The restaurant was visited by the officer of the Board on 23.04.2024 and it was observed as under:
1. The industry is a restaurant and was in operation during visit.
2. The manufacturing process of the restaurant is as under: -
Raw Material Received—Storage (Freezer, Chiller & Ambient)—Secondary Storage (Freezer, Chiller & Ambient)—Cooking—Dressing—Packaging—Serving.
3. The restaurant has provided ducting with proper stack height in the kitchen area.
4. The restaurant is generated domestic effluent which is discharged into GMADA sewer.
5. The effluent generated from the kitchen section is being treated in the ETP and effluent samples were collected during visit and results obtained from ZO lab, which is tabulated below:-

As per analysis results the parameters TSS, BOD, COD are beyond the prescribed limits of the Board.
In view of above, it is recommended that the consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be refused please.
