It is submitted that:-
1. The distance from the boundary wall of project to boundary wall of Petrol Pump is appox. 240 Meters.
2. As per my knowledge, no specific siting guidelines has been prescribed by the Board for such commercial complexes. As per Annexure-15 of the Policy of the Board, 2018- where statutory master plan has been notified under the Punjab Regional and Town Planning and Development Act, 1995 (Amended), 2006, mixed land use or any other development/construction which come up as per the earmarked zone, in case of new residential, commercial, there is no need to keep any additional distance from the existing industry from the environment point of view because these factors have already been considered while earmarking the use of land for different categories in the master plan, as per Notification No. 6312 dated 11th August, 2009 issued by Department of Housing and Urban Development (Annexure-15 copy attached- Govt.of Punjab, Department of Science, Technology, Environment and Non-Conventional Energy) Notification dated 30th October, 2009) and Master Plan of Samrala has been notified by the Govt. on 06.07.2015.
Keeping in view of the above, it is recommended that the Project Proponent may be granted consent to establish (NOC) under the provisions of the Water Act, 1974 & the Air Act, 1981 for one year with appropriate conditions with special conditions that:-
1. The PP shall comply with CPCB guidelines for utilization of treated effluent in irrigation/plantation and shall develop the adequate plantation area simultaneously with the project to dispose of the treated domestic effluent.
2. The PP shall provide the STP to treat the effluent simultaneously with the project.
3. The PP shall provide the vermicomposting facility / Mechanical Composter for disposal of organic solid waste generated from the project.
4. Project Proponent shall not throw burn or burry any solid wastes in open outside premises or in drain / water bodies.
5. Project Proponent shall promote use of alternatives of single use plastics (SUP) and awareness to discourage use of plastic, through their Corporate Environment Responsibility (CER) activities.
6. Project Proponent shall ensure that there are no usages of single use plastic- thermocol disposable items such as water bottles / water pouches/water cups, plates, forks, spoons, straw etc. and single use decorating material made of plastic-thermocal or any other non-biodegradable material in the premises.
7. The project proponent shall properly handle and manage the solid wastage as per the provisions of the Municipal Solid Waste Rules 2016 and ensure that the solid waste is segregated & disposed of in an environmentally sound manner.
8. The PP shall obtain the consents of the Board under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974, Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 and the authorization under the Hazardous and Other Waste (Management and Transboundary Rules), 2016 prior commissioning of the project.

Not covered under EIA Notification.
