It is submitted that manufacturing of bio diesel is not covered under EIA, 2006. Similar unit located at Kharar, Mohali under the name & style of M/s Krishna Bio Energy, Village Tajpura, Khizrawad - Chatauli Road, Kharar, Mohali has been granted CTOs without obtaining EC. It is recommended that CTOs may be granted as recommended earlier with a special condition that "Manufacturing of Bio Diesel is not specified by MoEF & CC under EIA, 2006 . However, if any clarification/guidelines/directions are issued by MoEF & CC in future regarding requirement of Environmental Clearance under EIA, 2006 by such units, the industry shall be liable to obtain Environmental Clearance and the Board shall be at liberty to revoke the consents to operate granted to the industry, if the industry fails to obtain the Environmental Clearance. |
