Sir, the project proponent has applied for obtaining of consent to establish (NOC) under the provisions of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for setting up a unit for commercial complex for shopping center with total area of 0.94 acres and having following structures:- 1. SCOS HAVING 1111.11 SQ. YARD AREA @ 10 Numbers 2. SCOS HAVING 844.40 SQ. YARD AREA @ 8 Numbers 3. SCOS HAVING 106.89 SQ. YARD AREA @ 1 Number.
The report of RO has been perused and it has been observed as under:-
1. The proposed site is located in Sherpur Kalan, Hadbast no. 176, Industrial Area-A, Ludhiana.
2. The dismantling of old structure was undergoing during the visit.
3. The project proponent has proposed to install STP @ 100 KLD and treated effluent will be discharged into MC sewer. No permission has been obtained/submitted from MC to discharge effluent into sewer
4. The exact calculation regarding proposed discharge has not submitted by the project proponent.
5. No details of proposals for arrangements to re-use the treated effluent for flushing purposes and/or for watering of green areas in the project premises has been submitted.
6. No details of solid waste and its disposal has been submitted
In view of above, it is recommended that the industry may be issued Show cause notice for refusal of 'Consent to Establish' (NOC) under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 with an opportunity of personal hearing before CEE, Ludhiana.
