Earlier, a complaint was received against the industry. Accordingly, the industry was a visited by officer of the Board and violations were observed. Accordingly, the case was considered by the Competent Authority of the Board and directions u/s 33-A of Water Act, 1974 were issued to the industry for disconnection of electric supply vide letter no. 2072 dated 09.04.2024.
The electricity connection has been disconnected vide TDCO number 187 dated 09.04.2024.
The industry has applied for fresh of consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 alongwith restoration of electric connection.
The industry has submitted approved building plan from architect approved by Director of Factories, Punjab. The industry has submitted MSME certificate as a proof of date of commissioning. The site of the industry falls in industrial zone as per the khasra number mentioned in gazzete notification. The industry has deposited consent fee adequate upto 30.06.2028.
The site of industry was visited by RO on 03.05.2024 and it was reported as under:- 1. The industry was not in operation during visit due to disconnection of electric supply. 2. The industry is engaged in zinc plating process. 3. The industry has signed agreement with M/s JBR Technology Pvt. Ltd., Focal Point, Phase-8 Ludhiana @ 2500 Ltr/M for the treatment & disposal of trade effluent generated from zinc plating process. 4. The industry has installed water meter at pipeline from where fresh water is consumed in process. 5. The industry was advised to maintain the record of fresh water consumed in process area and trade effluent lifted to CETP operator once it comes in operation. 6. The industry is discharging only domestic effluent into sewer. 7. The industry has provided storage tank of capacity 3000 Ltr 8. Domestic effluent is being discharged into sewer. 9. The industry has installed 2 no. heating ovens and 1 spray powder coating booth in its premises. 10. The industry has submitted building plan from architect approved by Director of Factory, Pb. 11. The industry is complying with the provisions under Water Act, 1974.
In view of above, it is recommended as under:-
1. Cconsent to operate under Water Act, 1974 may be granted for a short period of six months.
2. Direction u/s 33-A of Water Act, 1974 may be issued for restoration of electric supply for a period of six months, please.
