The industry has applied for 'Consent to Establish' (NOC) under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.
The industry was visited by RO on 30.04.2024 and it was reported as under:-
1. The industry has earmarked the boundary of the proposed industry and has constructed the building of proposed unit.
2. The industry has not given the detail of machinery proposed to be installed. Further as per project report, the boiler house has been mentioned at page no.s 7 of project report, but in application form no details regarding the same has been mentioned.
3. Further in the absence of number of machines/ mixers the quantity of proposed effluent filled by the applicant in application form cannot be verified.
4. It is pertinent to mention here that the total land available with the project proponent is 0.7 acres and no details regarding green area/ plantation area spared has been given in the application form nor in the project report.
5. The industry has proposed to manufacture 35 number different herbal products of different capacity, but in the absence of exact number of machines/capacity /batches, the quantity filled by the applicant cannot be verified.
6. Further during the visit, the structure of septic tanks have been constructed, but no overflow pipe/ outlet for disposal has been left by the project proponent, nor any details/ dimensional drawings have been provided to adjudged its adequacy.
7. The clarification is needed w.r.t effluent generation its disposal area and non-consonance of details of Air Pollution source in application form and in the project report.
8. Further no details/cost of land has been mentioned in the project report, nor any rent deed uploaded.
In view of report of RO, it is recommended that the show cause notice for refusal of consent to establish (NOC) under the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be issued to industry with an opportunity of personal hearing at ZO level, please.
