RO has reported that the mall was granted consent to operate vide no. CTOA/Renewal/ASR/2023/18390953 dated 25/04/2023 under Air Act, 1981 which is valid up to 31/03/2024. The mall has applied for obtaining renewal of consent to operate under Air Act, 1981 along with CA certificate, Compliance report of previous consent conditions, analysis report of effluent, receipt of earlier deposited fee, board resolution, copy of previous granted consents and request letter. The site of the mall was visited by officer of this office on 10.04.2024 and observed that:-
1. The unit is a multiplex mall.
2. The project proponent has installed 3 no. D.G. sets (2x 1000 KVA & 1x 500 KVA) and each of them is provided with canopy with adequate stack height. It is further intimated that the unit is complying with conditions of the consents granted under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. The unit falls in Red category in the Large-scale sector and competency to decide the case lies with Hon’ble Chairman of the Board.
RO has recommended that the Consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted up to 31/03/2025 with usual conditions.
Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that the Consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted up to 31/03/2025 with usual conditions and special conditions as under:-
(i) PP shall perform / promote its Corporate Environment Responsibility (CER) activities as well as use of alternatives of single use plastics (SUP) and awareness to discourage use of plastic (See attached banner/circular).
(ii) PP shall ensure that there are no usages of single use plastic- thermocol disposable items such as water bottles / water pouches/water cups, plates, forks, spoons, straw etc. and single use decorating material made of plastic-thermocol or any other non-biodegradable material in the premises.
(iii) The project proponent shall properly handle and manage the solid wastages as per the provisions of the Municipal Solid Waste Rules 2016 and ensure that the solid waste is segregated & disposed of in an environmentally sound manner.
(iv) PP shall carry out awareness and activities for the themes / action points identified under Mission LiFE (Lifestyle for the Environment) by Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change given at the website (http://missionlife-moefcc.nic.in).
