Sir, in reply to query of CEE Sir that there is increase in the fixed assets of industry. Further, it will now operate on double shift basis. It means that there will be increase in production capacity of industry. Whether renewal of consent is in order ?
In reply to the above, RO reported that there is no increase in production capacity as well as pollution load due to increase in fixed assets. Further, the industry is operating its unit on double shift basis same as earlier. So, it has applied for obtaining renewal of CTOs.
In view of the above, it is recommended that 'consent to operate' under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be renewed upto 31/03/2029 with suitable conditions as per policy of the Board, please. (Category - Orange, medium) (Competency -CEE)
