It is submitted that the industry was issued show Cause Notice for refusal of consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air ( Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 with an opportunity of personal hearing before the Environmental Engineer, Regional Office-II, Ludhiana on 03.05.2024 in which following decisions were taken:-
1. The Asstt. Environmental Engineer, Regional Office shall verify the submission made by industry at site and process the consent applications on merit within 7 days.
2. The industry will apply for the registration of Plastic Waste Management Rules, 2016 on EPR Portal.
The industry was visited by the undersigned on 13.05.2024 and observed that:-
1. Now, the industry has made the arrangements to discharge the treated domestic effluent onto land for plantation/gardening from septic tank.
2. Now, it has provided acoustic enclosure with its D.G.Set of capacity 82 KVA with adequate stack height.
In view of the above, it is recommended that consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be granted to the industry upto 31.12.2030 with usual conditions and with the special condition that :-
1. The industry will apply for the registration of Plastic Waste Management Rules, 2016 on EPR Portal within 15 days from the issuance of this consent.
