File Note: Earlier, the HCF was granted consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide online reference no. CTOW/Renewal/PKT/2021/15003637 & CTOA/Renewal/PKT/2021/ 15003599 dated 08/02/2021, which are valid upto 30/09/2025 for 30 beds. Now, the hospital has increased its bed capacity from 30 to 49 beds and has applied for obtaining fresh consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS for 49 beds. The Hospital has submitted Rs. 8,500/- vide UTR No. UCBAH24124100278 dated 03/05/2024 and Rs. 9,000/- vide UTR No. UCBAH24124101408 dated 03/05/2024 under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 & Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 including Rs. 1000/- as NOC Regularization fee and Rs. 500/- Form Downloading Fee which is adequate upto 30/09/2029. The HCF has submitted requisite documents along with the application which can be pursued. The HCF comprises of 49 beds and has capacity to generate effluent @ 17.5 KLD, for which the HCF has installed ETP of capacity 20 KLD to treat its effluent and has submitted feasibility report along with completion certificate of the ETP. The Hospital was visited by officer of this office on 14/05/2024 and observed as under:- 1. The hospital comprising of 49 beds engaged in the process of providing medical services. 2. The hospital has installed treatment plant for treatment of its effluent generated from hospital premises. 3. The hospital has installed ETP cum STP for treatment of its effluent generated from hospital premises which was under stabilization and treated effluent is being discharged into plantation area. 4. The HCF has provided color coded bins for collection/segregation of Bio Medical Waste, segregation of BMW found proper as per color codes. 5. The HCF has provided needle destroyers for shredding of needles. 6. During visit the representative was advised to install water meter at the outlet of the ETP and to maintain record regarding operation of ETP. 7. The hospital has installed a D.G. Set of capacity 62.5 KVA, which is provided with canopy (Agenda Note is also attached herewith). In view of above, it is recommended that Consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted for a period upto 30/09/2029 subject to suitable conditions along with special condition the HCF shall analysed its treated effluent samples within 02 months from the Board Lab.
