As per the legal opinion given by the SLO, the club may be granted consent to operate under the provisions of the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 for a shorter period i.e. up to 30.06.2025 with suitable conditions as per the Board's policy and with special condition that the grant of consent shall not be construed to favour the encroachment, if any, carried out by Lodhi Club, Ludhiana. The consent to operate is being granted from a pollution angle only and shall not be a deciding factor towards the encroachment which is an independent issue.
