The compliance of guidelines of the Board in annotated form regarding installation of APCD for using pet coke as fuel is as under:
1. Yes, industry has installed online SO2 meter.
2. The industry has installed cyclone followed by spray type double stage alkali scrubber.
3. Online SO2 meter has been installed.
4. pH meter has been installed.
5. Pressure gauge meter installed
6.The height of chimney attached to the boiler is more than 30 m.
The industry is complying with the code of practice framed for using pet coke as fuel.
In view of the above, it is recommended that :-
1. Renewal of consent to operate under Air Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry upto 30.06.2024 with usual conditions and special conditions that:-
• The industry shall take adequate steps to stop discharging their industrial effluent into MC sewer, Ludhiana by 30.06.2024.
• The industry shall submit Bank Guarantee of Rs. 50 Lacs as an assurance to upgrade ETP based on ZLD technology within this period.
2. The request earlier made by the industry to waive off Environmental Compensation of remaining amount Rs. 4.0 lac out of Rs. 08 lacs may considered, please.
