It is submitted that the industry is small scale green category unit and has earlier granted consent to operate under small scale green category under the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981, which were valid upto 31.03.2016 with suitable and special conditions mentioned therein.
Now the industry has applied for fresh consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 through OCMMS.
The industry has deposited consent fee of amounting to Rs. 134400/- vide R.no. 57632680 dated 03.05.2024 under the Water Act, 1974 and Rs. 128000/- vide R.no. 86973644 dated 03.05.2024, which is valid upto 31.03.2030 (after deducting NOC and late penalty fee).
The industry was visited by the officer of this office on 08.05.2024 and it was observed as under: -
1. The industry was in operation and is engaged in manufacturing of PVC Compounds.
2. The industry has installed 03 no. enclosed automatic mixers in which oil, colour and PVC resin is mixed to produce PVC compounds. No air emissions generated from this process.
3. No trade effluent is generated by the industry and only domestic effluent is discharged into sewer.
4. No boiler has been installed by the industry.
5. The industry has installed 01 no. D.G. Set of capacity 60 KVA with canopy and adequate stack height.
6. The industry is located in designated industrial zone i.e. focal point, Phase-6 as per Master Plan Ludhiana.
7. The industry is complying with the provisions of the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981.
In view of the above, it is recommended that Consent to Operate under the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry upto 31.03.2030 with suitable conditions as per policy of Board.
