The industry was visited by the undersigned on 9.03.2024 and it was observed as under – The rice sheller was in operation during visit. 2. The rice sheller has provided a shelling section with cyclone as APCD to arrest the dust emissions from the shelling process. 3. The rice sheller has installed a drier section with cyclone as APCD equipped with the paddy pre cleaner. 4. The rice sheller has not provided sampling arrangement/ stack of adequate height with the APCD’s 5. The rice sheller has provided pucca road in the movement area of the rice sheller. 6. The rice sheller has not provided jaali of adequate height over the wall and adequate height of wall in the husk storage area. 7. The rice sheller has provided fresh plantation along the one boundary wall which is not adequate. accordingly SCN was issued to the industry. To check the present status the industry was visited on 29.4.2024 and it was observed that: 1. The rice sheller was not in operation during visit due to off season. 2. The rice sheller has provided a shelling section with cyclone as APCD to arrest the dust emissions from the shelling process. 3. The rice sheller has installed a drier section with cyclone as APCD equipped with the paddy pre cleaner. 4. The rice sheller has not provided sampling arrangement i.e. porthole with the stack of APCD's 5. The rice sheller has provided pucca road in the movement area of the rice sheller. 6. The rice sheller has now provided jaali of adequate height over the wall and adequate height of wall in the husk storage area. 7. The rice sheller has provided fresh plantation along two boundary walls however the same is not adequate.
Thereafter it was approved to issued SCN with personal hearing to the industry however meanwhile the industry has submitted reply w.r.t. SCn and submitted that all the violations have been removed.
To check the compliance the rice sheller was visited on 14.5.2024 and it was observed that:
1. The rice sheller was not in operation during visit due to off season. 2. The rice sheller has provided a shelling section with cyclone as APCD to arrest the dust emissions from the shelling process. 3. The rice sheller has installed a drier section with cyclone as APCD equipped with the paddy pre cleaner. 4. The rice sheller has now provided sampling arrangement i.e. porthole with the stack of APCD's 5. The rice sheller has provided pucca road in the movement area of the rice sheller. 6. The rice sheller has now provided jaali of adequate height over the wall and adequate height of wall in the husk storage area. 7. The rice sheller has provided fresh plantation along all boundary walls.
The rice sheller is now complying with provisions of Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 and SOP
If approved the rice sheller may be granted CTO under provisions of Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 with validity upto 30.09.2027 |
