It is intimated that the industry is small scale red category unit. The industry was earlier granted consent to establish (NOC) under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 vide no. CTE/Exp/LDH2/2024/24833473 dated 20/03/2024 valid upto 19/03/2025 subject to the certain conditions mentioned therein. This NOC is valid for installation of 01 no. Induction Furnace of capacity 1 T/heat, 01 no. cupola furnace, 02 no. D.G sets (250 KVA & 50 KVA).
Now, the industry has applied for fresh consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 alongwith requisite documents for installation of Induction Furnace of capacity 1 T/heat and one cupola furnace.
Accordingly, the site of the project was visited by the AEE of this office on 14.05.2024 and it was observed that :-
1. The industry is discharging only domestic effluent into sewer.
2. The industry has install 1 no.s induction furnaces having capacity 1 Ton/heat with wet scrubber as APCD. The induction furnace was not in operation during the visit. The APCD was in good operational condition.
3. The industry has installed one 01 no. cupola furnace with wet cap as APCD.
4. The industry has also installed 2 no. D.G sets of capacity 250 KVA & 50 KVA.
5. The industry has submitted building plan from architect approved by Director of Factory, Pb.
6. No trade effluent is generated and only domestic effluent is discharged into sewer.
7. The industry is complying with the provisions under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981.
Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that :-
A The project proponent may be granted Consent to operate under the provisions of the Water Act, 1974 & the Air Act, 1981 may be granted upto 30.06.2028 with appropriate conditions and special conditions that the industry shall get the air emission sample analyzed from Board’s with Lab within one month, please.
