It is submitted that the industry has granted consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. ZJ/ASR/APC/2003-17/F-2 dated 07.07.2003, valid upto 31.03.2017.
Now the industry has applied for obtaining fresh consent to operate under the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS with required documents for production of C.I. Casting (Per Month) using Pig Iron & Scrap (20 Tonne per Month) as raw material
Detail of the case are as under: -
1. The unit has submitted latest CA Certificate having total value of fixed assets Rs. 24.48 Lakh as on 23.04.2024. Accordingly, it has deposited Rs. 23400/- vide UTR No. AXSK241230013674 dated 02.05.2024, Rs. 7200/- vide UTR No. AXSK241230013489 dated 02.05.2024 as penalty under Water Act, 1974, Rs. 500/- vide UTR No. AXSK241230013405 dated 02.05.2024 as application form fee, Rs. 1800/- vide UTR No. AXSK241230013827 dated 02.05.2024 as NOC regularization fee Rs 12900/- vide UTR No. AXSK241230013742 dated 02.05.2024 as consent fee under Air Act, 1981 and Rs. 7200/- vide UTR No. AXSK241230013589 dated 02.05.2024 as penalty under Air Act, which it is adequate upto 30.09.2030 under both Acts.
2. The industry has submitted report issued from MTP, Amritsar vide letter no. 1170 dated 20.09.2017 and as per report MTP, Amritsar site of the industry falls under industrial zone as per Master Plan (2010-31) of Amritsar.
3. The industry has submitted compliance report of previous consent granted under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.
The industry was visited by officer of this office on 15.05.2024 and it was observed as under:-
1. The industry was not in operation at the time of visit.
2. The industry has installed one no. cupola furnace which was equipped with wet cap as APCD. Wet cap was connected with water recirculation pipeline with water circulation tank and same was found operative at the time of visit.
It is further submitted that the unit falls in orange category in Small Scale sector and competency to decide the case lies with Environmental Engineer of the Board.
In view of the above, may if approved, the fresh consent to operate under the provisions of Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 & Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be granted to the unit upto 30.09.2029 for production of C.I. Casting (Per Month) using Pig Iron & Scrap (20 Tonne per Month) as raw material with usual terms and conditions. |
