The project proponent has applied for obtaining of consent to establish (NOC) under the provisions of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for setting up commercial complex for shopping center with total area of 0.46 acres.
The project proponent has filled online application form, uploaded project report, Copy of Building permission issued by commissioner of MCL, Site plan and approved building plan, Certificate of Incorporation, proof of ownership of land.
The project proponent has deposited Rs. 24000/- vide no. 705830290 dated 08.05.2024 as NOC fee.
The site of the proposed unit was visited by the officers of this office on 15.05.2024 and it was observed as under:-
1. The proposed site is located at ABADI GOWSHALA ROAD, TARAF SAIDAN, LUDHIANA.
2. The project proponent has earmarked the boundary of the proposed industry and no construction activity has started.
3. The project proponent has proposed to install 1 D.G set of capacity 65 KVA, which will be equipped with stack of adequate height.
4. There will be no generation of treated trade effluent, only domestic effluent, which will be discharge into MC sewer.
5. The building plan has been duly approved by Municipal Corporation, Ludhiana. Total 55 commercial shops will be constructed in the proposed commercial project.
6. Further as per the project report, no eating point/restaurant will be established/rented out in the proposed complex. Only domestic effluent will be generated, which will be discharged into MC sewer.
7. The site is suitable for such type of establishment, in light of approved building plan issued by MC, Ludhiana.
In view of above, it is recommended that, Consent to establish (NOC) under the provisions of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the project proponent for one year for constructing 55 commercial shops in an area measuring 0.46 with suitable terms and conditions.
