It is submitted that the industry is a small scale green category and the industry was applied for fresh of consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for Finishing of knitted cloth @ 4000 Kgs/day with discharge of domestic effluent @ 0.2 KLD into sewer. The industry has deposited Rs. 22,900/- vide UTR.no. N113242998389524 dated 22.04.2024 under Rs. 21,000/- Water Act, 1974, Rs. 1400/- as NOC fee & Rs. 500/- as application form fee, Rs. 21,000/- vide UTR.no. N113242998402799 dated 22.04.2024 under Air Act, 1981. The fee deposited by the industry is adequate upto 31.03.2025 after deducting late fee penalty.
The industry has submitted copy of area classification certificate obtained from DTP, Ludhiana vide no. 306/DTP(L)/M2A dated 06.02.2013 mentioning that the site of the industry falls in industrial Zone as per Master Plan Ludhiana.
The industry has submitted copy of approved building plan from the competent person under Factory Act.
The industry was visited by AEE of this office on 15.05.2024 and observed that:-
1. The industry was in operation and is engaged in the process of finishing of knitted cloth.
2. The industry has installed raising machines and compaction machines inside the premises.
3. The industry has installed 01 no. wood fired boiler of capacity 200 kgs/day inside the premises.
4. The industry is generating only domestic effluent, which is discharged into sewer.
5. The industry is complying with the provisions of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.
In view of above, it is recommended that consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry up to 31.03.2025 with usual terms and conditions.
